Great food & free wooden nickels at the Info/Chamber booth. Paws In The Park Community Park, Beaver Street (at the swimming pool) 9 AM - 1 PM Bring your favorite furry friend and stroll the park. Rabies shots and micro-chipping will be available, or learn about doggie day care, nutrition, boarding, and more. All proceeds benefit the Butler County Humane Society. Sidewalk Sales Throughout Downtown Zelienople & Harmony 11 AM – 9 PM Shop the unique stores lining Main Street and the side streets for bargains galore! Watch for the Wooden Nickel signs to receive discounts and specials offered by participating merchants. Childrens’ Activities Walgreen’s 234 South Main Street 10 AM - Frog Jumping: Bring your own frog or “borrow” one of ours. All frogs compete in longest & shortest jump. Your frog competes for largest & smallest. Children 18 & under. 11:15 AM - Baby Races: Categories include crawling for infants; walking for ages 1 through 2. 11:30 AM - Rodent Rage: Pet rodents track race in exercise balls. Gerbils, mice, rats, chinchillas and guinea pigs invited. Open to children of all ages. 11:45 AM - Stick Horse Races: Bring your decorated stick horse and race for prizes. Children 12 and under. 12:15 PM - Cowboy Rodeo: Kids “round up” balloons and herd them into a cage using fly swatters. Children 2-10 & up. Tiger Bounce Valero Gas Station, 225 S. Main Street 1 – 7 PM - Let the kids burn off a little energy in the Tiger Bounce! A small entrance fee applies. Classic Car Cruise Downtown Zelie to Downtown Harmony 1:00 PM - Dust off those saddle shoes for cruisin’ and dancin’ - over 17 local car clubs will participate in this year’s Cruise, which will drive down Zelienople’s Main Street, then swing on over to Harmony to display the cars & for an afternoon of food, music, and fun. Zelie Idol Karaoke Contest Fisher’s Rest. and Bar, 131 S. Main Street 2 PM - Cheer on your favorite singer at the Karaoke Finals. Cash prizes for the four top winners. Outdoor Stage Corner of Main Street and Spring Street 2:00 PM - Spoons Workshop: Bring the kids for an activity that mom and dad can take part in as well. Learn how to “play the spoons” and receive vouchers for tickets to the evening’s Strand Theater Simple Gifts concert. 3:00 PM - NexTier Bank Pedal Power Tractor Pull: Children 3 to 12. Children compete by age groups and test their strength by pedaling a mini tractor pulling a weighted sled. 5:30 PM - Half Pint HoeDown: Grab your young ‘un and learn how to do-si-do together. Square and line dancing will be offered. 7:30 PM - Ray Ryan New Orleans Riverside Band: Plays the rhythms of the blues, blended with traditional New Orleans music. Bike Night 3 B’s Bar and Restaurant, 309 S. Main Street 6:00 – 8 PM - Wander on over to the B's to see some of the coolest bikes in town. Play a game of pool or darts, down a frosty mug & enjoy the festival on two wheels.
