Friday, July 13, 2012 @ 7:30 PM - The Strand Theater, 119 North Main Street, Zelienople, PA  Comprised of three generations of the George family who hail from Zelienople and the surrounding community, Bits ‘n Pieces was formed over 25 years ago and offers traditional, contemporary bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music. A true family affair, the group is rooted in a love of bluegrass music shared by grandfather Paul George on guitar, and his sons Donn on mandolin and Scott on guitar and bass. Initially playing for family gatherings and for the sheer joy of the music, the family has both evolved and grown, adding daughter-in-law Amy doing vocals, grandson Scott on guitar and bass, and cousin Rich Thomas on banjo. All members take turns sharing lead and harmony vocals. Bits ‘n Pieces has played hundreds of venues over the years, and is delighted to bring bluegrass to The Strand.
